Air Source Industries Supporting Navy and Community During Covid-19 Pandemic

With the entire world in the midst of a pandemic and us in the L.A. area facing our share of this crisis, we all are searching for some assistance from others. In many ways, this crisis is bringing out the best in all of us as we seek to protect each other while faithfully going about our business. While serving our customers at Air Source Industries is getting more challenging, it is only doubling our resolve to be that stable, dependable, source of compressed gas that you need.

We stand by our pledge to get you your gas deliveries when you need them. We’ve been around for 70 years and we’re not going anywhere!

We are open for business with normal hours and are fully operational. Our customer service and gas technicians have been instructed to follow strict guidelines that apply to safeguard and protect health for all. We will continue to follow guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as local authorities in all areas we operate. We intend to keep our plant open to service our customers provided it is sensible and safe to do so.

We are thrilled to be able to report some very good news. Air Source recently received a call from the Mercy ship docked in the L.A. harbor. The Navy hospital ship USNS Mercy came to Los Angeles to treat patients who don’t have COVID-19 and to ease the burden on our area’s hospitals.

The 1,000-bed, former super tanker turned floating hospital, pulled into the Port of Los Angeles in late March. The staff of roughly 900 people includes cooks, lab techs and lots of doctors, from general surgeons to plastic surgeons. Nearly a dozen hospitals have sent patients to the Mercy since it arrived.

Though self-sustaining, the ship found itself in need of additional oxygen from an outside source and they needed it quickly. Air Source Industries to the rescue!

We immediately delivered a large order of oxygen cylinders to the Mercy ship. Being known for fast and precise delivery times allowed us this opportunity to help out our floating neighbor in need.

Not all gas deliveries are so urgent but they are all important because your business depends on them. And in today’s rocky waters, getting some assistance when you need it just might make all the difference.
